Nine SLIIT students recently transferred to Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) to complete their degrees in IT, computer science, and information systems. These students were the first batch to transfer from SLIIT to SEMO, one of SLIIT's many prestigious foreign affiliates. These students, who have completed the first two years of their degree at SLIIT, were then awarded part-scholarships worth US$ 3,000 by SEMO to complete the final two years of study at SEMO. The next batch of students will benefit with the introduction of an electrical engineering programme, channeling them towards a robust and thriving industry. This collaboration was facilitated through Progressive Academy (Pvt) Ltd. A farewell was held for these students recently at the SLIIT Malabe Campus.
