SLIIT Toastmasters Club holds Third Installation ceremony

The Third Installation ceremony of SLIIT Toastmasters Club was held recently, at the SLIIT Malabe Campus. Distinguished Toastmaster Zameen M. Saleem, Past District Governor of District 82 was the chief guest of the event. Guest of Honour of the event, Prof. Sam Karunaratne, Chancellor\Chairman of SLIIT, DTM Ms. Padmini Samarasinghe, DTM Mr. Sudash Liyanage, and Division Governor Ms. Noorul Munawwara CC, ALS graced the occasion.

SLIIT Toastmasters club holds vibrant club meetings where participants do their projects enthusiastically. Because of the passion of the members, the club has become a Distinguished Club and received the Smedley Award and the Beat the Clock Award during the period 2011/2012. It also initiated a Gavel Club for students to inculcate oral communication and leadership skills in them.

Mr. Lakmal Rupasinghe (President), Ms. Pushpamala Perera (VP/Education), Mr. Indraka Udayakumara (VP/Membership), Mr. Anuradha Jayakody (VP/Public Relations), Ms. Chathurini Kumarapperuma (Secretary), Ms. Umanga Pilapitiya (Treasurer) and Mr. Darshika Koggalahewa (Sergeant-at-Arms) have been installed as the new executive committee of SLIIT Toastmasters Club for the period 2012/2013.
