BSc in Information Technology

The Program

This is a three-year (six semester) Programme of study approved by the University Grants Commission . This degree programme is designed in such a manner that the candidates have several entry and exit options as indicated in the study pathway.

Students who have successfully completed the first two years of the degree programme are eligible to receive “Diploma in Information Technology” from SLIIT Computing, in association with SLIIT. The option of getting registered with edexcel UK is also available for those who are willing to obtain the BTEC Higher National Diploma in IT from edexcel, United Kingdom.

Successful completion of the  “Diploma in Information Technology” will allow the students to enter into the final year of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree at SLIIT Computing. Further they have the options of completing the B.Sc IT degree in several SLIIT Partner Universities in Australia, USA and Canada or completing their degree at Edexcel Partner Universities in UK.

Also students who wish to specialize in Interactive Multimedia Technology in their final year can enter into BSc in Information Technology Specializing in Interactive Multimedia Technology at SLIIT Computing upon the completion of the  “Diploma in Information Technology”.

Entry Requirements

Students who have passed the GCE (A/L) examination (Local/London) in one or more subjects and a pass in the Aptitude Test conducted by the SLIIT.

Course Fee

Rs. 90,000/= all inclusive per semester

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Interested candidates should send in the application using the specimen form given here. Applicants are required to pay Rs. 750/= for the Aptitude test and Processing.

The application fee should be paid at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon in favor of SLIIT Computing (Pvt) Ltd. Bank of Ceylon Kollupitiya branch Current Account No: 1630619. There is also a branch of the Bank of Ceylon on the 1st floor of the BoC Merchant Tower (Same building in which this institute is situated).
