Foundation Certificate in Information Technology
The Foundation Certificate in Information Technology (FCIT) programme designed by SLIIT in collaboration with the Edexcel UK and Curtin University of Technology Australia offers a unique pre-university pathway course for students who do not satisfy the undergraduate academic entry requirements to university.
The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is the largest and the leading Degree Awarding Institute in the field of Information Technology approved by the University Grants Commission under the Universities Act. SLIIT is also a Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. SLIIT offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Systems and Networking, and Business management. Presently SLIIT provides the largest number of IT Professionals as required by the IT Industry.
SLIIT provides modern facilities for students to pursue their studies. These include fully air-conditioned lecture theaters, laboratories, auditoria, libraries and reading rooms, rest areas and canteens. SLIIT also provides facilities for indoor and outdoor sports and other activities.

Entry Requirements
Passes in at least six (06) subjects including credits for Mathematics and English at the G. C. E Ordinary Level (Sri Lanka) Examination obtained at one and the same sitting
Or
Passes in at least six (06) subjects including credits for one Mathematics related subject and English at the G. C. E Ordinary Level (London) Examination obtained at one and the same sitting
AND
A Pass at the Aptitude Test

Successful completion of this programme entitles students to gain entry to the Diploma in Information Technology programme at SLIIT and then proceed with the Curtin University degree programme conducted by SLIIT.

A fee of Rs.45, 000/= +15% (Taxes) per term , payable before the commencement of each term
SLIIT Diploma 1 Year and 2 Year: (4 Semesters)
A Semester fee * of Rs.65,000/= +15% Taxes, payable before the commencement of each semester
Curtin degree at SLIIT (2 semesters)
A Semester fee * of Rs.65,000/= +15% Taxes, payable before the commencement of each semester and an additional fee of AUD 2000 payable to Curtin University Australia.
