This program provides comprehensive training needed to become a Linux Systems Administrator. It covers Introduction to Linux Environment ,Installation of Linux, Unix/Linux commands ,Advanced  Shell  Usage, System tuning ,File system, work with Linux Kernel, TCP/IP Networking ,DNS, Firewall, Squid Proxy Server and  Mail Server Configurations, other system services and How to implement Security in Linux Systems.

  • Common Unix/Linux commands – Part 1

  • FOSS culture and etiquette

Day 2- GNU/Linux environment-I

  • Linux security model and privileges

  • Process management

  • Common Unix/Linux commands – Part 2

  • Vim advanced editor

Day 3- GNU/Linux environment-II

  • Linux boot process and system initialization

  • Managing services

  • Managing users and groups

  • Working with remote systems

Day 4- TCP/IP networking

  • TCP/IP networking with Linux

  • Managing File Systems

  • Firewall configuration

  • Vim and Bash – Part 2

  • Advanced Shell scripting with Bash

Day 5-Raid,LVM and Package Management

  • Package management in Linux

  • Troubleshooting

  • RAID and LVM

Day 6-Virtualization,Apache,NSF and other Services

  • Virtualization in Linux

  • Apache Web server - architecture, installation and configuration

  • Other services: SSH, SFTP, NTP

  • NFS File server - installation and configuration

Day 7-Proxy,DNS,SAMBA,Email and Spam Filtering

  • Squid Caching HTTP proxy server - installation and configuration

  • BIND DNS server - installation and configuration

  • Samba server - installation and configuration

  • Postfix Mail server - installation and configuration

  • Spam Filtering and Antivirus

Day 8-DevOps,Configuration Management and Linux Kernel

  • Introduction to DevOps culture

  • Introduction to Configuration Management with Puppet

  • Introduction to Linux kernel

  • Configuring and compiling the kernel
