Fulfilling a requirement of Electronic Engineering students, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology opened its new Electronic Engineering Laboratory at Malabe Campus on 19th January 2010. This Lab comprises of modern 16 Personal computers and is fully equipped with the state-of- the- art Technology.

SLIIT Women’s Badminton team won the Western Province Division I Championship and SLIIT Men’s team won the Division III Championship.

SLIIT Research Symposium 2009

SLIIT hosted the SLIIT Research Symposium (SRS) for the fifth consecutive year on the 22nd of December at the institution’s auditorium, located at the Malabe campus.
